John McKenzie

John McKenzie: A Master of British Drama. Born in 1929 in Edinburgh, Scotland, McKenzie directed films from the 1960s until the early 2000s, establishing himself as a unique voice in the genres of drama and crime. Notable amongst his filmography are "The Long Good Friday" and "The Fourth Protocol", and although he never received major film festival awards, his works are characterized by a gritty realism and a deep understanding of the British socio-political climate of his times.
