In order to deal with her breakup with J.T., Shelly takes some advice from a self-help book that encourages her to spend time by herself, but a dinner out alone comically proves she needs the support of her girlfriends, Janie and Rita. Meanwhile, South Beach's socialites, including Janis (YOANNA HOUSE – winner of "America's Next Top Model" contest) and Helen (CATIE ANDERSON – contestant on "America's Next Top Model"), are gossiping about Shelly's breakup, and Nick jumps at the opportunity to help J.T. get back into the local scene, which causes Dani to question Nick's commitment to their relationship.
